Hawkinson Nissan and Hawkinson Kia are owned by two brothers, Bob and Jim Hawkinson, who learned the auto retail business in their Father’s Ford dealership, Hawkinson Ford in Oak Lawn.

Hawkinson Ford was started in 1961 by Robert R.  In 2009, Bob and Jim Hawkinson opened their second automobile dealership, Hawkinson Kia, which is located adjacent to Hawkinson Nissan in the Matteson Auto Mall.  Hawkinson Kia is the fastest growing Kia dealership in Chicago land.  Chicago Kia customers from Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Evergreen Park, Joliet and all over the South Suburbs have purchased New Kia vehicles from Hawkinson Kia in Matteson.
